Meet Our Board of Directors

Felius’ business strategy and affairs are overseen by a board of directors comprised of a President, Vice President, and six advisory members. Not only are they all animal lovers, but they are all amazing women who are active within the Omaha community!

  • Bre Phelan

    Bre Phelan

    Founder & President

    Bre launched Felius in 2017, inspired by her love of animals and desire to give back to the community. Over the last decade, she has taken on many roles in the advertising industry and is currently a Project Management Lead on Oath’s Ad Creative Technology team. Additionally, Bre volunteers with the Fontenelle Forest Raptor Recovery and serves on the board of directors for the American Advertising Federation of Omaha. Bre spends her free time with her husband and rescue cat, Street Bob.

  • Keegan Korf

    Keegan Korf

    Board of Directors, Vice President

    Keegan is deeply connected in community and works both in the Omaha Public Schools and throughout Nebraska to promote digital citizenship and media literacy in order to help children foster technology use to its full potential. She believes that technology is a powerful tool in not only learning, but also helping to support community development and animal welfare. Keegan grew up in Omaha and currently lives midtown with her gorgeous family: husband Justin, and kitties, Tucker and Fixer.

  • Nicole Wheeler

    Nicole Wheeler

    Board of Directors, Secretary

    Nicole is an active citizen with a variety of outlets. She works on the Media team at Hudl; runs Dundee Book Company, Omaha’s roving bookstore, alongside her husband; and serves on the board of Mode Shift Omaha. Nicole is passionate about local businesses and community building and believes that Felius is a great organization to add to the tapestry of Omaha.

  • Molly Buskirk

    Molly Buskirk

    Board of Advisors, Legal Council

    Molly is a Corporate Contract Attorney with Werner Enterprises, Inc. She graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2009 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Creighton School of Law in 2012. Molly has several years of experience in animal advocacy and rescue work, and currently volunteers with two dog rescue organizations.

  • Kristen Beck

    Kristen Beck

    Board of Advisors, Event Planning

    Kristen is an Event Project Manager at Vic Gutman & Associates. She works directly with a several large public events that help to enrich the Omaha community. Kristen has spent her career working with local non-profits through events and fundraising, so Felius was a natural fit. Though Kristen doesn’t have any cats of her own she does have a dog that sometimes acts like one.

  • Jessica Hoien

    Jessica Hoien

    Board of Advisors, Educational Programming

    Jessica comes from a long line of animal lovers, so it’s no surprise she’s found her way to Felius. Although she has been an esthetician since 2005, her lifetime passion has been caring for animals and advocating for their rights. She works with the Nebraska Humane Society as a foster parent and as a feral cat colony caretaker. Through Felius, she hopes to educate the public on the importance of TNR (trap-neuter-release) and responsible pet ownership, plus she looks forward to seeing people find their perfect feline companion over a cup of coffee.

  • Deb Mallard

    Deb Mallard

    Board of Advisors, Finance

    Deb is a Senior Accountant for DKPM Investments and has over 30 years of accounting experience. She is an avid kitty admirer and her love of kittens drew her to assist with the mission of making San Antonio the largest no-kill city. She served as the Finance Director for San Antonio Pets Alive (501c3) from 2012 to 2014. Through fostering, Deb has found good homes for a multitude of cats and kittens.
